How To Trim Eyebrows for Men

Or, maybe you’re like me and suffer from the unibrow.

There is a delicate balance between too much trimming/grooming and too little. I hope this quick guide on how to trim eyebrows for men sheds light on proper eyebrow grooming.

Step 1: Tackle the Unibrow.

Take a look at your nostrils. Divide each nostril in half with a comb to get guide lines. The area between the comb guide lines is where you will pluck any hairs. This will eliminate your unibrow.

Tip: Try plucking the unibrow after a warm shower when pores are open. This will allow for the easiest extraction. Also, make sure you pull in the same direction the hair grows, in order to avoid the hair breaking before it comes out.

Step 2: Cut Down on Volume and Long Hairs.

This part is a little tricky and will require the use of both hands. In your non-dominant hand, grab a fine-toothed comb. In your dominant hand, grab a pair of high quality grooming scissors.

With the comb pinched between your thumb and finger pads, comb upward. When the comb reaches the top of the natural eyebrow line, there will likely be long hairs sticking up. Trim the long hairs sticking through the comb teeth with the scissors.

If you have a lot of long hairs, it might take a few passes to trim. Follow the contour of your eyebrow, make sure the comb is always at the top of the eyebrow line and not within the eyebrow.
